What do you love about the pro beauty industry?
I love how the beauty industry always evolves, continues to change with new techniques, new products that make our artistry easier with better results. I also love how education has become NO #1 with COVID, on every social media platform which is very important for a stylist – just to stay knowledgeable in our industry.
What is fun fact about you?
I still send cards for birthdays or just because, but I put confetti in all my cards so when the receiver opens the card, SURPRISE, confetti all over the place… lol. 😁 if I don’t put the confetti in the cards, I am questioned. It’s expected now!
Who is someone that inspires you most?
My girlfriend, JACQUI JUMP, who is always so POSITIVE and she’s SUPPORTIVE and ALWAYS makes you feel so IMPORTANT and better than you ever felt with her presence. Amanda Coleman, The Obamas, and Abraham Hicks.
What is your favorite Wella, Nioxin, OPI, ghd, Clairol, Color Charm, Kadus or Sebastian product and why?
CLAIROL is my favorite. This color line has something for everyone, a semi, demi, permanent and lighteners, its easy and predictable with AMAZING results. Do you have any tips for those who are uncomfortable servicing textured hair?
Don’t be afraid of textured hair. The more one works with textured hair, the easier it gets just like anything else. Practice on textured hair. Analyze it, feel it, treat it like a fabric… you have silk, cotton, wool, etc. and they are treated differently and that’s the same for textured hair.
