What do you love about the pro beauty industry?
I love the ability to touch people’s lives with beauty and strength.
What is the most meaningful part of your role as a Black artist in beauty?
The most meaningful part of my role as a Black artist in beauty is to always keep my self-educated and informed, and to share that knowledge with other hairstylists.
What is fun fact about you?
A fun fact about me is that I danced ballet for over 10 years (ages 3-16).
Who is someone that inspires you most?
My mother – she is the only person I ever wanted to be like. Her grace, passion for education, and her loyalty to family is what drives me every day to be a better person.
What is your favorite Wella, Nioxin, OPI, ghd, Clairol, Color Charm, Kadus or Sebastian product and why?
My favorite Wella product is Wellaplex because of its flexibility and benefits to all hair types.
Do you have any tips for those who are uncomfortable servicing textured hair?
For those who are uncomfortable servicing textured hair, my advice would be to expand your knowledge and skill of different hair types and the rewards will overflow! I learned how to do all different hair types, so that I could have flexibility in this industry, and it has served me very well.
