DRINK RECIPE: CREAMY HOMEMADE HOT CHOCOLATE

Wrap yourself in the warmth of fall with this heavenly homemade hot chocolate recipe. It’s a hug in a mug, bringing together comforting flavors of cocoa, vanilla and cinnamon. Get ready to indulge in the taste of the season, one sip at a time.

STEP 1: Combine 3/4 cup white sugar, 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder and a pinch of salt in a saucepan. Add 1/3 cup boiling water and whisk until smooth. Bring mixture to a simmer, stirring continuously to prevent scorching. Cook for 2 minutes.

STEP 2: Stir in 3 ½ cups milk. Heat until very hot, without boiling.

STEP 3: Remove from heat and add 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract.

STEP 4: Add cream to each mug to help cool cocoa to drinking temperature. Divide hot cocoa between 4 mugs.

STEP 5: Serve hot and enjoy!
