Curly clients spend 36% more on products and 50% buy more salon services than others. Curly hair is amongst the top hair trends in the last few years. As stylists, whether we are consulting a new curly client or just understanding curl pattern, we must remember that wavy and curly hair have specific needs. Curls tend to be frizzy, feeling dry and more prone to breakage due to their oval hair structure. They need loving care and nourishment to reveal their beauty and make them feel alive. Recommending the right level of care is key – each curl is unique. Too much nourishment might be heavy and overload the hair, the goal is to keep the curls defined, yet bouncy.
Wavy hair needs products that provide light to medium care and nourishment level, while curly hair generally needs more intense care; from medium to intense level.
