This Year’s Beauty Envision Awards…

This Year’s Beauty Envision Awards…

Shattered, But Stronger Together

Let’s be honest, 2020 has gone nothing like we expected it to, and that includes the lead up to this year’s Beauty Envision Awards.
In response to the current Covid-19 Crisis, we have decided in the best interest of all involved, to cancel the live BEA event scheduled for August 9th in Las Vegas at The Aria and replace it with a Digital Finalist Competition.
While we’ve been eager to watch a new generation of artists strut the stage, we’ve needed to make a slight change of plans to keep everyone safe & socially distanced.
  • Entries still close on May 22 with semi-finalists and finalists rounds to follow.
  • Instead of an in-person event, the final round of the competition will be hosted digitally.
  • Finalists will receive a package with all the color, products and tools (including a mannequin) they’ll need to create their final look.
  • Additionally, finalists will also receive digital coaching with their category mentor.
  • Once they’ve created their vision, finalists will submit their look to the ‘gram along with uploading a 2-minute video explaining their process and inspo to our judging platform.
  • Winners will be selected based on a combination of online votes plus judging and still announced on August 9.
  • Funds from the live event will be redirected to support the industry through these uncertain times.
  • Wella Education will also be hosting a digital fundraiser to help support salon pros in need.

Getting Back in the BEA Spirit

This competition is literally unlike any other. While competitors from across the world are turning to their mannequins to get creative from home, we’re looking for new ways to connect our #WellaFamily. As Netflix queues dwindle and the entry deadline still fast approaches, inspiration is waiting in the reruns of BEA 2019.
Whether you’re dreaming of winning or just awed by the experience, relive the excitement with last year’s live stream, including a full recap of the event and energy that brings our favorite day to life! These videos not only remind us why we compete, but also of our worldwide community that is taking this crazy world on together.

Learning from the Pros

Last year, more than 5,000 beauty professionals from the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico entered their best looks, with 27 moving on to the live competition at LA’s Hollywood Palladium. Led by their technicolor dreams, the artists brought their “Kaleidoscope” looks to unbelievable heights. Each artist worked alongside their mentor to create jaw-dropping styles in front of onlookers, followed by a showcase and award ceremony.
After fierce competition and shattered expectations, the winners emerged: 🏆
