What do you love about the pro beauty industry?
People. Not only clients but other stylists. Their stories inspire me; their passion motivates me. I love to create and unite a team. It’s an incredible feeling when it all comes together.
What is the most meaningful part of your role as a female artist in beauty?
With the salon industry being one of the only industries more strongly dominated by women than men, I embrace my individuality, and position myself as a mentor to other young women coming up in the industry.
What is your favorite Wella, Nioxin, OPI, Clairol, Color Charm, Kadus or Sebastian product and why?
I came up through my career with Sebastian, Geri Cusenza handpicked me to join her team, so it will always be my first love. It’s an iconic brand with an artistic vision that provokes the imagination and products that always deliver.
Do you have any advice for female stylists trying to grow their career?
Don’t be afraid to reach out! Find a mentor who you admire – someone who inspires and pushes you to improve and grow as an artist.
