MIXING + PROCESSING: Mix Wella Professionals Koleston Perfect in a 1:1 mixing ratio with Wella Professioanls Welloxon Perfect Creme Developer: 1.9% (6 volume) for pastel toning, 3% (10 volume) for same depth or color deposit, 6% (20 volume) for one level of lift and gray coverage, 9% (30 volume) for two levels of lift or 12% (40 volume) for three levels of lift.
Apply color mixture immediately after mixing and process for 30-40 minutes with no heat, or 15-25 minutes with heat.
GRAY COVERAGE TIPS: Reach for the Pure Naturals range of Wella Professionals Koleston Perfect for optimal gray coverage. For 30-50% gray, mix a minimum of 1/3 of Pure Naturals with your formula and for 50%-100% gray coverage, mix 1/2 of Pure Naturals with your formula. Start application on the area with the highest percentage of gray and saturate.

Apply quickly, starting at the highest concentration of gray hair and develop for ten minutes. Cleanse and follow with Wella Professionals Color Post Treatment to lock in color and shine. HOW TO: Apply Wella Professionals Service Post Color Treatment to damp hair. Leave on for 3-5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
APPLICATION TIPS: Prep and section hair prior to mixing color. Mix color immediately before application for optimal results. Apply Koleston Xpress with a bowl and brush, or a bottle applicator. Apply color quickly. The consistency of Koleston Xpress allows for fast and easy application, saving time in the salon and product efficiency.
HEAT OR NO HEAT? In most cases using Welloxon Perfect Cream Developer 6% (20 Volume) without heat for ten minutes will deliver up to 100% gray coverage. By using a controlled heat source with Koleston Xpress, the color result may intensify, without making the shade any darker. That's right! Thanks to Control-X Technology. A controlled heat source may be desired for coarse hair, however this does not reduce the total development time. Process Koleston Xpress for 10 minutes, under heat.
