Did you know Blondor Multi Blonde can be used as a color correction tool, as well? The customizable formula is a top choice when it comes to corrective scenarios to achieve mild to maximum lightening results.

MILD LIGHTENER RECIPE

The best color correction technique to remove old color, banding and color over-deposit is the Wella Professionals Blondor Multi Blonde Dust-Free Powder Lightener, Mild Lightener Recipe. The mild lightener application can be used as a corrective tool to prepare the hair for a new color application and balance color results. A gentle lift, up to 2-3 levels can be achieved.
HOW TO APPLY:
MIX: One part Wella Professionals Blondor Multi Blonde Dust-Free Powder Lightener, plus four parts Wella Professionals Welloxon Perfect Pastel Developer 1.9% (6 volume), or Wella Professionals Color Touch Emulsion 1.9% (6 volume). If a stronger result is required, mix with Wella Professionals Color Touch Emulsion 4% (13 volume). 1:4 mixing ratio.
APPLICATION: Apply Blondor Mild Lightener Recipe on dry hair, utilizing a color brush for controlled application on areas requiring lightening.
TIMING: Once application is complete, process Wella Professionals Blondor, Mild Lightener Recipe for a maximum of 50 minutes.
REMOVAL: Once desired lightening is achieved, rinse, shampoo and neutralize. Dry hair, analyze, formulate and apply color to achieve desired end result.

MAXIMUM LIGHTENER RECIPE

Looking for something stronger? Wella Professionals Blondor Multi Blonde Dust-Free Powder Lightener can be used in its normal manner, if conditions allow. As the mixing ratio diminishes and the developer rises, maximum speed and lightening will result. #PROTIP: Prior to lightener application, complete a thorough consultation and assess hair texture and porosity to determine the appropriate lightener recipe for the color correction scenario. Remember to consider mixing ratio, developer strength, product saturation, isolation and timing.
HOW TO APPLY:
MIX: One part Wella Professionals Blondor Multi Blonde Dust-Free Powder Lightener with 1:1:5 up to 1:2, Wella Professionals Welloxon Perfect Creme Developer 3% (10 volume), or Welloxon Perfect Creme Developer 6% (20 volume), in a non-metallic bowl.
APPLICATION: Apply Blondor Maximum Lightening Recipe on dry hair, applying to the darkest, most saturated areas first to achieve optimal results.
TIME: Once application is complete, visually develop with a maximum lightening time of 50 minutes.
REMOVAL: Do not use heat. Rinse corrective lightener, once desired lightening is achieved, shampoo and neutralize.

BEST PRACTICES

In every color correction scenario, prioritizing the health and integrity of the hair is paramount. By incorporating these core techniques and best practices with your corrective services, elevate the salon experience and maximize hair health and happiness.
CLARIFY + CLEANSE
Pre-treating and cleansing the hair is an essential step when it comes to color correction. Remove product buildup, balance pH levels, improve color adhesion, enhance porosity and extend color longevity. Over time, hair may accumulate unnecessary oils, conditioners, minerals and styling products, creating a barrier that prevents color from penetrating the hair shaft effectively. Schedule time for a pre-treatment service at the salon prior to any color correction service. We recommend Sebastian Professional Reset Shampoo or Wella Professionals INVIGO Aqua Pure Purifying Shampoo to reveal the hair’s natural shine and gently remove any buildup. Apply, lather, and cleanse all areas of the head form, focusing on the hairline for any additional buildup from makeup, perspiration or mineral products. Rinse and follow with Sebastian Professional Penetraitt Conditioner to restore moisture, balance porosity and transform the hair from dry + dull to soft + silky. Blowdry the hair and proceed with color application. Limited time at the salon? No stress! Retail the recommended shampoo and conditioner to your salon guest. Instruct them to cleanse and clarify prior to their arrival at the salon for color correction services.
BOND PROTECTION
Protein and moisture balance are key components to hair health and long-lasting color.  Add a Wella Professionals WELLAPLEX Stand Alone Treatment to any color correction service to reconstruct, strengthen and balance pH in just 15 minutes.
HOW TO APPLY:
1. Pre-Shampoo and towel-dry.
2. Mix WELLAPLEX No.1 Bond Maker with water in an applicator bottle (1:6).
3. Apply mixture to hair.
4. Develop 5 minutes. Do not rinse.
6. Develop 10 minutes. Rinse, shampoo, condition and blow-dry. Continue with color correction services.
